CAD/CAM Lead
design process📍 Remote•💼 Full time
This is a hands-on design role, not a back-office drafting position. You will speak directly with clients to understand their space, their goals, and the constraints of their site, then translate that conversation into accurate 3D models and production drawings that our fabrication and installation teams can build from with no ambiguity. The Role Success in this position depends on the ability to think spatially, ask the right questions, and design within real-world constraints wall dimensions, ceiling height, doorway clearances, electrical capacity, ventilation paths, and the realities of the materials we build with. Every custom project starts as a conversation: a customer with an irregular basement corner, a backyard structure with a specific footprint, or a vision that needs to be reconciled with what is actually buildable and code-compliant. There is no template for most of these projects. The role requires building a working knowledge of our wood species, heater and control options, ventilation and clearance requirements, and glass/door systems and using that knowledge to design saunas that are both true to the client's intent and straightforward to fabricate and install. Day-to-day responsibilities include client-facing design consultations (video call, phone, and email), producing concept models and revisions based on client and site feedback, and finalizing fabrication-ready drawings and cut lists handed off to our production and installer network. You will work closely with sales, installers, and ownership as the design process for custom builds is formalized and scaled. What Were Looking For CAD/CAM proficiency. Demonstrated fluency in 3D modeling and drafting tools (e.g., SketchUp, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or comparable) and the ability to produce drawings precise enough for fabrication, not just visualization. Spatial and technical reasoning. Comfort working from real-world measurements and site conditions, and translating an irregular or constrained space into a buildable design accounting for framing, clearances, ventilation, and electrical requirements. Client-facing communication. Confidence leading a design conversation directly with a customer, asking clarifying questions, managing scope and expectations, and explaining design tradeoffs in plain language not just executing a brief handed down from someone else. Attention to detail. A final design package is only useful if it is unambiguous. Dimensions, materials, and assembly details need to be correct the first time errors at this stage become expensive errors in the field. Manufacturing or construction fluency. Working knowledge of wood construction, millwork, or structural fabrication is a strong advantage. Candidates without this background should have a demonstrated ability to learn material and fabrication constraints quickly. Preferred but not required: experience designing for custom millwork, cabinetry, or modular structures; CNC/CAM toolpath experience; prior experience in sauna, spa, or outdoor structure design. Tools and Requirements CAD/CAM software (SketchUp, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent) video conferencing for client consultations Google Sheets/Drive stable, high-speed internet a reliable, up-to-date computer capable of running modeling software smoothly. Key Responsibilities Client Design Consultation: Lead discovery conversations with clients to understand space, requirements, and design intent. Translate site measurements, photos, and client input into accurate design constraints. Design Development: Produce 3D models and concept designs for custom sauna projects. Iterate designs based on client feedback, site constraints, and fabrication feasibility. Fabrication-Ready Output: Finalize production drawings, cut lists, and specifications handed off to fabrication and installers. Ensure designs account for electrical, ventilation, and structural requirements before release. Process Development: Help formalize design templates, standards, and workflows as custom capability scales. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in CAD/CAM design, drafting, or a related field (architecture, millwork, manufacturing, industrial design). Demonstrated portfolio of design work taken from concept through fabrication-ready output. Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead client conversations directly. Comfortable working independently and owning a project end-to-end. Engineering, architecture, or industrial design degree preferred, but not required with sufficient hands-on experience. What Success Looks Like Custom designs that match client intent and are delivered without costly rework in fabrication or installation. Clients who feel heard, well-advised, and confident in the design before production begins. A growing, reusable library of design standards that make each new custom project faster than the last.
Senior AI Engineer
Engineer📍 Remote•💼 full-time
ROLE OVERVIEW You will own an AI application module or agentic workflow end to end, including the parts most teams skip evaluation, guardrails, cost, and reliability. This is production AI engineering rather than prototyping. You will work directly with the client product owners who define how a feature should behave, and we keep teams small and senior, so there is little distance between your work and the users who depend on it. If you have shipped a GenAI feature that real users rely on, and know how much harder that is than the demo, this role is built for you.

What will you do - Design and build production candidate models for a client workstream, from framing through to validation - Own feature engineering pipelines end to end - Design and run experiments, including A/B tests and offline evaluation, and defend the results - Present findings directly to client stakeholders in structured working sessions - Contribute to solution design on defined sub problems - Mentor junior team members on technique, code quality and delivery discipline
